1) to him whose elastic and vigorous thought keeps pace with the sun, the day is a perpetual morning
i think this is trying to say that he who rises early and by his own means will benifit more and get more done in the day and enjoy the day more than someone who sleep most of the day and dosent really wake up at all and it will always seem like morning because the day will go so fast.
2)the millions are awake for physical labour; but only one in a million is awake enough for effective intellectual exertion, only one in a hundred millionsto a poetic or divine life.
i think this is trying to say that anyone can simply wake up and go 2 work and watch there life go bye but only a few people think about their lives and what they are doing and have a efective take on life and do something with their time on even fewer people can be poetic about life or live the divine life.
